Project Cycle Management Model of NGO

Each NGO(Non-Governmental Organization) always have their own strategic management to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of project cycle operation in terms of implementing to develop the local community and society. Of course, there is a variety of project cycle management model according to the NGOs which implement the development project effectively. So if you used to work with many NGOs you will see that there is more paper to design a project cycle. Generally, it has four stages in project cycle management including identification and assessment, selection and preparation, planning and Operating and monitoring and evaluation. Now, we take a look at the model of project cycle management together:

1-Programming
It is a creation of policy and other conditions aiming at collaboration and agreement in consistent with the respective departments. For example: defining a target area and critical issues. Determining of the project’s goal. Assess the project (participatory approach). Developing of the optional resolution.

2-Identification
Refer to the performance program, issue, need and stakeholders’ benefit whose they are able to analyze; an initiative to design the project and other activities in order to identify the priority. For the expectation, therefore it is a decision on whether or not it is a selection for development. We need to learn it more detail. For example Identification of strategic planning or project.

3-Appraisal
This featured the aspect of concepts for learning in order to disclose transparency to the relevant stakeholders so that they could recall of issue, feasibility learning, and other things. The outcome from a performance management and other activities are preparation and requirement of calculation of input for operating. Expected outcome is our decision on whether we want it or not. Some NGOs, in terms of the cycle of a project in this step, is a process for description in order to design a project.

4-Financing
Decide to seek for concerned partners and stakeholders. In this process, some project cycles are processed for negotiation or approval of the budget allocation and it entails participation from both project implementer and project stakeholders.

5-Implementation
It is an approval over resources which are mobilized for and they were taken from planning, and action to achieve the goal. Any progression of project based upon monitoring in order to even change something based on the specific circumstance. Finally, they will make a decision on the project (evaluation) whether it should be or not continuing project operation. For example of action planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation of the project.

6-Evaluation
Assessment of project which we have achieved and the impact of project related to the overall goal including effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of the project. These results bring to a decision whether to stop or continue project implementation.

Throughout the steps of project cycle has been mentioned above to ensure the target groups for:

1-Thinking of what they have to try to do
2-Spending time and try effort to implement action effectively
3-Making sure that any progress is monitored
4-Taking measure to correct problem during the project implementation.
